Our Basic Cornhole Rules:

1.Game Objective: Games are played to the traditional score of 21 points or more. Home Team gets the choice to shoot first or pick sides. Second and third game, teams alternate. Then the second game teams flop sides then third game teams walk to opposite ends*. (Home team is the second/bottom team listed on the schedule) We like to keep things simple and Fun.  

2. Scoring:

Woody: A cornhole bag that remains on the playing surface at the end of the frame counts as 1 point.

Cornhole: A cornhole bag that passes through the cornhole board hole at any time within the frame counts as 3 points.

A bag that touches the ground and the board simultaneously does not count as a point.

3. Cancellation Scoring:

The approved scoring method is cancellation scoring, where one player/team's points cancel out their opponent's points.

Each player/team plays one board at a time, staying in their designated lane throughout the game (right or left).

Start at board 1 and alternate pitching bags until each player has thrown all four of their bags.

After pitching, players move to the other board, take score, and resume pitching back to the other cornhole board.

Bags must be delivered with an underhand release, and the player's feet must stay behind the front line of the board.

The player/team that scored in the previous frame pitches first in the next frame.

If neither player/team scores, the player/team who pitched first in the preceding frame retains first pitch in the next frame.

If bags become piled inside the cornhole board hole and may interfere with the next pitch or create uncertainty about a potential cornhole, a player may request to "rake" the bags that have fallen inside the hole.
